Offence is in the eye of the beholder

“a racist incident” should be defined as “any incident which is perceived to be racist by the victim or any other person”

Macpherson report into the murder of Stephen Lawrence.

This is so all encompassing as to be absurd. It is subjectivism to the hilt. If ‘any’ person perceives ‘any incident’ to be racist then it is racist. If a white man says he doesn’t like black coffee and anyone in his hearing takes offence, can the white man prove he is not a racist. There is practically a presumption of guilt against those charged with racism.
